SRC is a Legislative Arm of Student Union Government of Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu, that naow be transmuted to Lagos State University of Science and Technology.
It is established by the Holy Book of the Union (Constitution) of as amended in 2014 and endowed
with powers to legislate as well as privileges and immunities to enable
it exercise these powers without hindrance.
There are forty (7) Constituencies also known as Faculty, namely, School of Agriculture, School of Environmental, School of Applied Science, School and Engineering, School of Communication and Liberal Studies, School of Management and Business Studies and School of Technology, which cut across the twenty (48) Departments in the school.
Student Representative Council is currently made up of seventy honourables elected from each class to represent their constituencies for a period of session.
